I was born in Ukraine, where I graduated from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University with a degree in political science and philosophy. Since my early 20s, I felt a strong desire to travel and see the world, so for a few years during summer I took the opportunity for seasonal jobs in hospitality abroad in different countries like Turkey, Egypt, and Bahrain. While the countries were each time different-there was one thing they all had in common-always by the beach, with the hot tropical climate.

I continued these adventures for a short time until I landed my dream job-Flight Attendant for one of the best airlines in the World-Qatar Airways.

In my 8 years of flying experience, I traveled around the Globe. All the way from the Middle East to Europe, from Africa to Australia.

Today, I am very grateful that I had traveled the world, stayed at 5* resorts, met many interesting people, shopped at Vittorio Emanuele in Milano, had sangrias and taps at Barceloneta Beach in Barcelona, and more. A big shoutout to Qatar Airways and all the cabin crew I worked with. Thank you for the amazing memories!

And then life happened… I moved to the United States.

I had no family or friends anywhere in America, all I had was the opportunity to legally live and work in the United States. And so I traveled again- this time looking for the place which I will call home.

I visited NY, Chicago, and Miami in search of happiness.

No offense to my friends New Yorkers and Chicagoans but my favorite city on the list was indeed Miami.

Miami has this “always on vacation “ mode, I call it the “city of white shorts and flip-flops” ( Which by the way you can wear all year around, each of 365 days when in Miami).

The only city in the world with a similar ambiance in my opinion is Barcelona, Spain.

Miami has a lot of high-end oceanfront residential buildings which I am also so used to after living in Qatar and traveling to Dubai every other weekend. Those who spent some time in Dubai would refer ???

Miami has a vibrant nightlife, rooftop bars with amazing views, and great restaurants, some of them Michelin stars. Aren’t we all love good food?

I do, I definitely do love good food, good wine, brunch with friends, and happy hours just to name a few ;)

Miami is where I met my husband, and where both of tour two children were born.

Miami is the place I started my new career in Real Estate.

Miami is the place I call Home, and my blog is about life through my eyes in Miami, gourmet experiences, sports events, and real estate.

Oh, and of course, I still love to travel! I’ve heard once they call it “ Flight Attendant syndrome” when a person has the urge to get on an airplane and stay at the hotel every few weeks or so. I don’t know for sure if this syndrome exists but I definitely have all the symptoms of it. So my blog is about traveling too.

Life in Miami, Dining-out, Events, Real Estate, and Travel. This is what Ivy’s story blog is about. Welcome and Thank you for reading this far.
